La casa en Mango Street
In this project, we were assigned to read "La Casa en Mango Street" written by Sandra Cisneros. We had to write a story of our own and record it on an audio software in English and Spanish. I enjoyed this project because I got to talk instead of just writing something. I thought that mine turned out very well and I was happy with the end product.
El Proyecto De Che
This project was about Cuba. We studied Che Guevara and how he became a leader of the Cuban Revolution, and eventually was kicked out of that country and then died in Bolivia because of the army and the CIA. We were also studying commands. For my project, I chose to make a Cuban drink called a Virgin Mojito. We also had to recite the history of Che in Spanish. When I brought the drink into class, everyone really enjoyed it and I actually had a lot of fun making it.

Las Ramblas project
This project was put into place to get us to practice us speaking the past tense. We had the task to choose a person that is of a Spanish speaking origin. I chose the famous soccer player Lionel Messi. He is originally from Argentina but later in his life moved to Spain to play for the Premier League team Barcelona. I learned how to speak the past tense much better in Spanish. I thought this project went very well for me, and I am very proud of my end product. At the beginning it was a little rocky but near the end I got my act together and got it done, and got it done well.

Day in the Life project
The project above is about creating a day in the life of a object. i chose to write about my brother buying a lottery ticket and winning the lottery. The whole point of this assignment was to learn how to use reflexive verbs. I learned how to use them very well and now I can use them in my regular spanish speech. We don't notice when we use them in english but we do use them a lot.
I am studying spanish because I like that I can listen to movies. I like to understand and react to what they are saying. I also enjoy understanding people when they speak spanish. My mom and dad also wanted me to study spanish because they know it is very important.

In this project we had to pick a story in our life and describe it in Spanish. I chose the event when I got the scar above my eye by falling on the bleachers. You had to tell this event in the past tense because that is what we were studying. Being able to describe events in Spanish is very important because you talk a lot in the past tense. If you pay attention to what you are saying, you talk a lot in the past tense. This tense helped me because now I can talk about my amazing past and get all of the hot girls. I can impress them by being able to speak two languages.
